Welcome to the portfolio of Dr. Lauren Ashley Jessica Kirby. I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Texas at Tyler interested in cognitive and affective neuroscience applied to mindfulness.  I am a teacher, a scientist, meditator, and amateur photographer: all of the background images on this website are my own. This site tells the story of my journey as a psychological scientist.
