OVERVIEW
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Throughout my time at UNA, Auburn, and UT-Tyler, I have continued to build technical skills allowing me to extend and deepen my scientific endeavors. I am Level 3 certified at AU MRI Research Center, meaning I can operate a scanner independently. I have worked with psychophysiological monitoring equipment since 2010, and am currently using a new mobile application to measure heart rate during in-class meditation. A video to the right displays a unique program I wrote for E-Prime to collect dynamic self-report on two emotional dimensions by measuring cursor position every 500ms. I have experience with many statistical programs and used R-Markdown to write a guidebook (available for download on the right) for conducting a variety of statistical tests using R. I am also proficient with a variety of statistical analyses in R, including linear mixed effects regression (LMER). I have experience with Biopac's Aqknowledge, and I can use neuroimaging statistical software, such as the Brainmap database for conducting meta-analyses, FSL for analysing fMRI data, and Mango for viewing and editing MR images. I plan to continue to add to my set of technical tools as serves my research and teaching goals.
